About
SolaFire is committed to the Five Solas of the reformation. We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. We believe that the Scriptures are sufficient alone to be used by God in His working both salvation of the sinner and sanctification of the saint. We believe that all of this work is by God and is thus to God’s glory alone.
SolaFire was started by men whose passion is for God’s glory, and whose hunger is to defend the integrity of the glorious gospel of grace for which Christ died:
Randy Holbert is a former deacon at a reformation-oriented Baptist church*. By day, he engineers software. The rest of the time he reads theology. He has read and then given away a larger theology library than most pastors will never see, which allows his bookshelves more space for new books.
Ray Bromley (doulosRay) is a college professor, church pastor, and the guy who tries to keep SolaFire burning (despite his ineptitude with WordPress). Ray Bromley’s Web Site
* “reformation-oriented” may not mean “reformed” as some people define the term

One thing I have always found is that it’s much easier giving books away, rather than lending them out. The lent ones very often don’t come back anyway, so if you give them away, there are no hard feelings. My biggest problem is that I keep buying books at a faster rate than I can read them…
